Whatever this season may bring, I was tired of the dancing, judges, and contestants. Chloris Leachman frustrated me to such a degree I even stopped watching. Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne's boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and a few others came along too that really didn't interest me either.

Who really did interest me? It was french actor Gilles Marini who pulled it all together for the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars I discovered Gilles when I saw Sex and the City where he stood out among a cast of talented actors and actresses. He did not disappoint in Dancing with the Stars! Gilles raises the temperature on the dance floor. One of Dancing's judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, let slip what a lot of us were thinking - Carole, Gilles Marini's wife, one was lucky lady.

The big disappointment on the show was Denise Richards - she showed an almost total lack of both talent and personality. The Woz had the personality, but no talent. Chuck Wicks wins an A for effort with he tremendous work he put into his dancing which kept him around until near the end. Lil' Kim is someone I never imagined liking - but what a dancer! Derek Huff did wonders with his choreography and inspiration. They were a team that showed talent as well as chemistry. That's why I was very surprised when Lil' Kim was knocked out of competition with four other couples still alive.

So who did make it to the last couple of shows? It looks like it's going to be Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Melissa and Tony, and Shawn and Mark. Melissa came in shortly before the show when Jewel was injured. Melissa didn't struggle too much for someone with such little prep time - she has training in ballet. Her dancing has been almost flawless, earning her a set of perfect scores on the last show. But getting thirty out of thirty from the judges isn't a guarantee that you'll be around on the next show. In the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars, Sabrina Bryan was voted off the show after being the first person, with her dancing partner, to achieve a perfect score from the judges. Ty Murry is the dancer who has so improved, and is also so love-able. Ty's experience riding bulls and guiding horses doesn't translate directly to the dance floor and provided a big cache of voting fans who normally wouldn't watch Dancing with the Stars. Shawn Johnson's dancing was just as enchanting as her gold medal winning run at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And rounding this amazing cast of celebrities is Gilles Marini who didn't make a move I didn't absolutely love.

So who will take home the winner's 100k bonus? One dancing duo will be sent home this week. Who will it be? But afterwards, when only three celebrities and their partners are left, each dance team has a chance to prove to the judge's they're the ones who deserve to win. You can guarantee where I'll be that night!

Watching Dancing with the Stars is even better when you watch it on a high definition TV. After several friends kept harping on how much of a difference it made I finally gave in and purchased a hi-def television, and boy am I happy I did! Wow! You may be thinking what I used to think - how can it make that much of a difference in picture and sound quality? Well, I'm here to tell you it really does. If you get an HD high definition TV you'll need to contact your local cable provider to get the most out of it. I called Comcast Cable, my cable service supplier, and add HD channels to my already great channel lineup. And the HDTV picture form Comcast is amazing. While I was at it I added Comcast High Speed Internet and Comcast Digital Voice for a super low triple play bundle rate. My download speeds and television picture are by far the fastest and clearest I have ever experienced with my new broadband service and HD Comcast Cable. I can call all my friends and family nationwide without paying long distance charges with the amazing Digital Phone service. If Comcast is your local cable provider or you're planning on moving to an area covered by Comcast, I definitely recommend calling them up and ordering their great services. For additional savings, Search the web, and you will find plenty of Comcast Cable's latest promotions. Make sure you take a look at their Triple Play bundle that lets you get all three services for one incredibly low price.
