The four color printing technique used by the digital printer is the reason behind high quality picture prints. Earlier three colour printing technique was employed which uses the three primary colours Red, Green and Blue. But digital printers make uses the CMYK colour combination. The basic colours in this group are Cyan, Magenta, yellow and Black. Proper combinations of these colours result in good well define pictures. The most accurate image will be printed using these colours.
In the case of digital prints the amount of money that one has to spend is also less. But in offset printing it will be more. This is one of the reasons why almost every restaurant chooses digital printing for making menus. The larger cost of offset type is due to the set up charges. Digital printing offers good quality menus at a lower price. Offset printing can be cost effective only if the number of copies exceeds a particular limit. If quality is available at a lower price then people would definitely go for that. Digital printing offers a variety of materials for printing purpose like the standard size blown up post cards. Digital printing is a fast process when compared to offset printing. Offset printing involves set up time whereas digital don't require that. Digital printing won't take much time provided that all design works are completed and ready to print. So wasting of time can be avoided if digital printing is utilised for making restaurant menus. Films and plates are not used in digital printing. Hence more time is saved.
Digitally printed menus required to be protected with some covering as there are chances of print deterioration on a long term use. Laminating would be a good choice. Harder UV coating will be much better as it keeps the prints steady by reinforcement.
Good and delicious food added with a good menu brochure can certainly lift your business above the expected level. For a good menu print it is always better to rely on digital printing than on offset printing.
