When it comes to going on holiday, booking and planning your trip are the easy part, as the task of packing your suitcase always proves to be the most difficult job involved with going on holiday. So if you’ve just booked your next holiday, whether it’s the trip of a lifetime or an
all-inclusive holiday to Cyprus, and don’t know what to pack, then here are a few tips to help you pack your bags and enjoy your holiday.
Get a Good Suitcase
We all know that what we pack is limited by the size and shape of your bag, and if you’ve got a small suitcase, then you won’t be able to pack as many clothes, toiletries and other travel essentials as you would if you had a bigger suitcase. So if you need to buy a bigger suitcase, keep an eye out for the ultra-lightweight models that are now available, they have the size and packing of space of normal suitcases, but are a fraction of the size, which will save you money at the airport.
What to Pack?
The items that you pack in your suitcase will depend largely on where you’re going, so if you’re going somewhere warm and sunny, then light, floaty clothes that will keep you cool whilst protecting you from the heat are the answer. If you’re going somewhere a lot colder, then thermal and waterproof clothes will be better. But once you’ve decided on the type of clothes to take, then comes the arduous task of deciding how many items of clothing to take, as taking too much could lead to baggage charges. Be brutal with your choices of clothing, take only what you need, and remember that you can buy clothes on holiday, if you need to.
