Locating wholesale restaurant booths is only half the battle. Now you have to decide whom to purchase them from and start weighing your options. Make sure to choose a restaurant furniture supply company that not only carries quality product, but also knows the ins and outs of every detail when it comes to restaurant booth seating. Choose a company with experience.

Wholesale restaurant furniture including booths has become more and more popular over the last few years. The privacy and added comfort restaurant booths provide are the major reasons customers like them so much. Whether you want to conduct a business meeting, have an intimate dinner with a significant other, or just quality time with the family, booth seating seems to meet all those needs.

In order to accommodate these needs, it is critical that proper thought and planning is applied to how you lay these out. If you have ever sat in a booth and the table is pushing up against your chest or you have to reach for your plate to eat, you know what I mean. Having the restaurant tables too high or table bases hitting your knees are also things that can deter the experience for which they are intended.

Here are some tips to avoid these pitfalls:

You want to have 6′ openings from back of one booth to the back of the other. This will accommodate a 30″ wide table, and still provide enough room to sit at your table comfortably. Due to the fact that Americans unfortunately aren’t getting smaller, some owners are choosing to go to 28″ tables to accommodate inflated bellies. Any narrower than that makes for a very inefficient table to place plates on.

The height of the back of your wholesale restaurant booth is dependent on what you are trying to accomplish. If you want an open view dining room, the 36″H is adequate. If you’re looking to create privacy, then choose a 42″ to 48″ back. These are standard height for most manufacturers and going outside of these dimensions becomes a “custom” booth and can get very pricey. Also, if your restaurant booths are going to be any higher than 36″ in the back, make sure you specify an upholstered crumb strip. You need the extra seat depth for comfort.

Circle booths are very inefficient and expensive for what you get out of them. The reason being you can never get a table big enough for the number of people you think can sit there. A standard circle booth 4′x 7′ x 7′ 4′ will cost you up to 3 to 4K, and can only fit a 42″ mitered table. Although you may be able to squeeze 6 people in it, there is no way to place enough plates and condiment on this table for 6 without it seeming cramped.
Wall benches run down one wall with bench seating on one side and restaurant dining furniture chairs on the other are very popular for the right environment. When looking at this scenario, just make sure you provide at least 24-30″ between table tops so customers can get in and out of them.

If you are running your single booths and double booths along one wall and there are no windows or pillars that keep you from setting these booths flush with the wall, request that they be finished on only one side. If you are doing a wall bench along a solid wall, ask for an unfinished outside back. This can save you some money and will make you look like a genius.
