Components of Avotone Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Avotone, which has become one of the most popular anti-wrinkle creams currently on the market, is advertised as being a natural formula which relaxes facial muscles by decreasing the strength of muscle contractions, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

The two active ingredients in the cream are acetyl hexapeptide-3 which serves to decrease the intensity of muscle contractions and avocado oil which has deeply penetrating moisturizing ability. Acetyl hexapeptide-3 is a synthetic compound composed of amino acids. Developed as an anti-aging agent, acetyl hexapeptide-3 acts as a muscle relaxant, preventing the muscles from contracting. This compound is a relatively recent creation and has been tested very little so, as of yet, no known side effects exist.

Avocado oil, the other active ingredient within Avotone, is a completely natural ingredient often used in cosmetics for its ability to moisturize and rejuvenate skin. Avocado oil is composed of many beneficial agents such as chlorophyll, lecithin, vitamin A and D, as well as potassium. Chlorophyll, which acts as both an anti-oxidant as well as an anti-inflammatory treatment, has been shown to combat sunspots as well as acne and has even been shown to help with the prevention of cancer. Lecithin, another anti-oxidant, acts to keep the skin hydrated thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and keeping the skin soft. Vitamin A, which also has anti-oxidative properties, acts as a prevention of cancer and is critical to the growth and maintenance of healthy skin cells. In addition, Vitamin A acts to maintain the hydration of skin cells, thereby preventing acne as well as wrinkling. Vitamin D, another ingredient in avocado oil, is crucial for the reproduction of new skin cells and, like vitamin A, acts as an anti-carcinogen. The last key ingredient in avocado oil, potassium, is essential to the continuing elasticity of the skin. Without the appropriate level of elasticity, the skin, when stretched, will not be able to return to its original position leading to an increase in wrinkles and other skin irregularities.

Although acetyl hexapeptide-3 and avocado oil are the primary ingredients within Avotone, the product contains compounds such as propylene glycol which is used in many cosmetics as a moisturizer and ethylparaben and propylparaben which act as preservatives. Methylparaben has also been added to the product as a non-toxic anti-fungal agent found also in hair gels. And, as in the case with most cosmetics, fragrance has been added as well.
