The internet goldmine is rich with untapped potential that grows with each passing minute. The Internet is a huge domain with over 1.6 billion users. A lot of these people need answers or are seeking specific information. If you have a question where do you go? I would bet you go to Google and type in a search. Well that is exactly what others are doing, and do you know what happens when they search for an answer? They are sent to a sales page of a product or an information site to solve their problem, or answer their question. This is why I love internet marketing. You can make a lot of money out of simply providing information.

If someone is looking to improve their golf game and they find a free ecourse in the internet goldmine called "5 steps to improving your golf game" how many do you think would turn down the offer to play like Tiger Woods in just 5 simple steps? Not many would turn it down, and after seeing such good information, they are very likely to be willing to pull out their credit cards for the full course. See why internet marketing is great?

Many people try to sell a product and when it doesn't get brought they believe internet marketing in the internet goldmine is just too crowded with hungry miners digging for gold. They're right and wrong. Right because yes, there is great competition, but wrong because there are tons of profitable untapped niches. There are many people looking for different products, not everyone wants golf. Some want gardening, game guides, cooking recopies and so on. But still people only sell in one category and that category is internet marketing.

The main problem with most people trying to sell in the internet goldmine is they try to rank on Google for the most impossible high-volume, high-competition terms, or the lowest volume, no traffic and therefore no sales keyword phrases. The key is to first of all, focus on keyword terms with at least 4,000 to 8,000 searches. These are the mid-range keywords that are too small for the large corporations, but just right for most people.

Ranking online in this internet goldmine for the middle keywords doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. You must first build a website with lots of inner pages. This means creating at least 20-30 articles for the long-tail keyword phrases (less than 2,000 searches per month), and creating a separate page for them on your site. Have each of these pages linking to your main home page with "do follow" links, and "no follow" to these pages on your home page. Your home page will target your middle keyword phrases.

For example, if you are targeting the popular phrase, "How To Lose Weight," on your main home page, you will create 20-30 articles for secondary phrases like "How To Lose Weight Fast" or "How To Lose Weight In 10 Days" and put these articles on separate pages. The link will end up looking like this, "HowToLoseWeight.com/How-To-Lose-Weight-In-10-Days.html" -- are you starting to see how this all works and comes together?

The second key to generating good traffic is to avoid Google altogether! There are now many secondary portal sites with millions of users, such as Squidoo, Hubpages, or the main social networking sites like Facebook. Create a presence on these networks and rank within what I call "mini-Google's."

What many people don't realize is that selling products to other internet marketers is profitable, but not as profitable as selling to people who are looking to improve their handwriting. There are tons of niches that no one is selling to, or at least, not with any great competition. To be honest I don't mind, I am making some good profit from selling to these people, but I don't want you to get caught up in selling just internet marketing products, try selling some flower guides or other random niches. Take advantage of the internet goldmine and all its possbilities. Just remember there are many untapped niches out there.
