Treasure In Your Field!
Have you ever wondered what the Treasure in your field is. I have and came to realize that it is family, friends and other relationships I have been growing. I have been blessed with many people God has put in my life. The important blessings in life are our children, husband or wife, family because you are building lasting memories, handing down traditions and faith that last forever.
See, material things break, grow dust, lose value sometimes. Relationships can also but they are different when they break you learn lasting lesions that you can still use. If it grows dust, clean out the cobwebs and evaluate the relationship for improvement or let it go but the lesion you have learned are priceless and can make you a better person in future relationships. If they loose value it is because we forgot what the true value of the relationship is and it just needs polished by remembering why it's great, that first place in time that gave it value.
If you look in your field, the treasure in it is priceless and will give you inspiration when you are going through tough times or even guide you with experience you forgot you had. When our loved ones pass to be with God, that treasure is still in your field of great memories of that person and gives it great value in your life.
Material things, most can be replaced but people are all different and can't. We are all created equal but different just like the treasure in your field. God gave us His greatest treasure of all, Jesus Christ.

About me:
Welcome, my name is Sherri Lynn Rakes and I have four children, two step children and two grand babies. We Live in Olive hill KY. My home town I was born and raised in is Ashland, KY. I sing and write songs, and do Marketing on line. In the year 1999 in mid September, I had a accident. I fell on concrete steps and hurt my neck, back and shoulders after my singing career and TV show was doing well.
It put me down for a year and when I was getting better, I was in a car wreck in April 1,2001. I had incomplete tears in L5 and S1 in my lower back, whiplash for the second time. A man ran a red light at 65 miles per hour and T-Boned me in my drivers side door. I remember yelling, "Jesus help me, I was blessed to be alive. I was on thirteen different medications at one time and almost gave up.
I never thought I would have a life again. I prayed and researched Vitamins so I could get better, I couldn't stand prescriptions anymore. I wasn't myself on them. The pain was unbelievable. God gave me hope and put wonderful people in my life Since then to help me. Since 2004, I am off all prescriptions, work, travel and enjoy my family once again. If you are experiencing any of the same things please don't give up. There is hope in Jesus and He will do the same for you. Vitamins and natural herbs can help, I am not saying all medications are bad. Pain pills, Muscle relaxers and Valium can destroy your life so please try other alternatives if possible, you see it everywhere on the news how people are letting it destroy there life because of addiction, I know, I was there once and I saw how it can become a problem.
I still have Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia and back problems along with pain every day, God helps me deal with it as well as Vitamins and Herbal Vitamins. Life well I am Loving It! Hang in there, there is hope and Love to see you through. Don't give up on your dreams even if you had to put them on hold for awhile. You may fail but you have to have failure before you have success. We all need more Inspiration in our lives!!!!!
One Women who really inspired me not to give up on my dreams was Naomi Judd. She is from our home town in Ashland, KY and She helps our Community a lot. In 1998, Naomi helped collect can food to feed the hungry. I was talking to her and that is when she told me, "Love your Home town because it is where your roots are and never give up on your goals and dreams. Help others and you will be blessed. I have never forgot those words She told me.
It was one of the things that kept me going when I got hurt. Naomi is a wonderful person and so are Her daughters. She gave me permission to sing "Love Can Build A Bridge". It is on my first tape I ever made. I have learned over the years the power of "Love Can Build A Bridge" and if you haven't read her book you need to, it is great. God Bless you Naomi Judd and thanks for the inspiration! I made a video of me singing this song and will have it on soon.
