Travelling to the Caribbean

If you're travelling to the Caribbean you may not be too familiar about a little island just North of Venezuela called Tobago. Though its sister isle (Trinidad) is more commonly associated with massive Carnival celebrations during the month of February each year, Tobago is somewhat more of a quiet getaway. The beautiful petit island is economically centered towards to tourism so the welcoming and hospitality given to tourists are somewhat the norm. The following is a list of popular places to visit than you can put on your itinerary:-

1. Pigeon point beach - This stretch of beach curves the island with its turquoise water as crystal clear as far as the eyes can see. For three US Dollars you can enter and are allowed to rent beach chairs or a little cabana to place your belongings. If your chose to go topless no one will take to much notice as the atmosphere is very relaxed and carefree. Parking accommodations are within close range to the beach.

2. Hotel accommodations - Do a google search, plain and simple. You're bound to find what you're looking for. Prices may range anywhere from twenty-five dollars per night to four hundred dollars per weekend. Whatever you're getting most hotels in Tobago these days pride themselves on customer satisfaction. Apartments with complete amenities and maybe a pool downstairs are not that difficult to find.

3. Bucco Reef - You can take a boat ride from Store Bay to view the spectacular wonders of the reef, settling eventually a few miles outside Pigeon Point Beach where you can actually come out of the boat in the shallows for a swim. The boat ride itself is usually on a small glass bottom boat where you can view the myriad of animals in their underworld habitat. Alternatively, climbing to the top of these boats can offer a breathtaking examination of the islands curves and fantasy-like setting.

4. Food - Try the crab and dumplings!


Remember if you're planning a vacation or just need that weekend getaway, wherever you go have fun and if its Tobago you most definitely will.
