When it comes to business understand one thing; it is a game. As with all games you must know the rules. If you overlook these rules or fail to follow them your business will fail. I will be going over some of the trait that you'll need to play this game correctly. We'll talk about integrity, leadership, persistence, vision, and just plain hard work. We'll start of with integrity and the move on in sequence with the other traits.
Integrity is very important in business because if people cannot trust you, it will be an uphill for you to have them part with their money. Webster dictionary defines integrity as being totally honest and sincere. You cannot build a well establish customer base without trust, people need to feel comfortable buying from you. When you have integrity customers will flock over to you over and over and over again.
A leader knows when to lead. You will not build a long term business without strong leadership; if you simply cannot guide or command your team to victory through tough economic crisis as well as in the good time, well how do you expect them to follow you. As a leader you have to remember that people follow courage and not titles. Lead your organization to victory everyday.
Persistence is being able to try again and again until a desirable outcome is fulfilled. Without persistence your obstacles will overwhelm you and you'll not be able to whether the storm when it strikes unexpectedly. You must not confuse persistence with stubbornness. Being stubborn is the refusal to accept that something is not working out but you insist on doing it expecting a different result. That to me is just plain nuts. Persistence is about achieving a certain goal but also keeping your eyes open to different solution in attaining that that same goal.
Vision is a major plus because you have to know where you are going and know what the ultimate outcome will be for your hard work. Having the power to think and plan ahead is an absolute must if you want you small business to grow rapidly.
Hard work is essential! You must ask yourself everyday why do my customers buy from me and how can I increase my value to them. By increasing your value to your customer you'll have motivation to increase that value and keep them for life. Since business deals with people it is imperative you learn how to communicate with power. Working hard is means working sometimes means an extra ten to twelve hours to realize a dream. It means doing the big tasks before the little tasks. Working hard is attacking a big task until it is complete. It means going above and beyond to satisfy your customers and move ahead of you competitors.
Apply these "must have" traits and in no time you'll be like raw armor against all obstacles and everyone will be amaze at you level of progress, happiness and your wealth.
