Virgin Islands offer you a wide number of choices when it comes to enjoying the vacation of your dreams, from relaxing and laid-back to thrilling and fast-paced. The cuisine, night life, beach activities, nature sports - everything is fascination personified. In fact, the place has all you need to enjoy an unbelievable vacation.
But, even with so much to offer, there are those who are unable to enjoy Virgin Islands to its full potential. So, here are some tips to help you get the most from your Virgin Islands vacation.
First, make a plan.
*What kind of trip do you want (honeymoon, adventure, nature, water sports, relaxing)?
*How long do you intend to stay?
*What's your budget like?
*Who is going (couple, children, extended family, friends)?
*What accommodation do you have in mind?
*Would you prefer to cook your own meals?
This plan is the key to the success of your Virgin Islands vacation.
For example, if you intend to stay here for three days to a week, you will have two days for each of the islands. You can use the ferry service or short flights to take you to the islands. A trip shorter than three days means you can do justice to one of the islands. So, choose wisely.
If you want your VI vacation to be a romantic sojourn, you want to include secluded beaches and long nature trails. You might want to stay at cozy inns, eat at candlelit tables and go for wonderfully long moonlit walks. Choose your
accommodation in VI accordingly. On the other hand, if you are traveling with children, you want child-friendly accommodation and kid-friendly activities. If you have teens, you might want to take them on nature hikes, shopping activities, sightseeing and sports. If you're traveling as a group of people, get a consensus on the activities you want for the group.
The next thing to do is to make a realistic budget. Unfortunately, food and accommodation tend to be expensive in VI, particularly during the peak season. So, you can shave a good amount off your final expenditure if you decide to cook for yourself, at least once a day. For that, you will need to choose private rentals. Worry not. There are plenty of choices.
Last, but most important of all, is your activity list. Here are some of the things that could be on that list:
*Watersports (wind surfing, snorkeling, sailing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, scuba diving, beach hopping)
*Nature sports (trekking, hiking)
*Horseback riding
*Historical site visits
*Sightseeing
*Shopping
… and of course, snoozing!
Now you know why people feel they need to return to catch up with all the activities they missed out on their previous trip! Unless you're staying for a full two weeks or a month, don't try to include all the above activities on your list. Instead, pick a few that you love. That way, you will get the most of your Virgin Island vacation.
