Visit the Penrhyn Castle.
A brilliant example of 19th century architecture, built for the Pennant family thanks to the money made by selling sugar and slate. The Penryn Castle architect Thomas Hopper also designed most of the interior including the wallpaper, stained glass and furniture. Walking through this castle is like going through a time-warp that takes you back to the 19th century and on its walls are some of the countries finest art collections. Surrounding the castle is many acres of parkland and wooded areas free for you to walk at your leisure. The Penrhyn Castle has a mysterious history with links to Welsh Princes, an Archbishop and even a pirate!
Visit the Greenwood Forest Park
Fun for all the family, the Greenwood Forest Park entertains both children and adults alike. The play parks with towers, rope bridges and tunnels are really popular with the under 12's as well as the 'Green Dragon' the worlds first people powered rollercoaster! There is also Longbow shooting, den building and an exciting jungle boat adventure. For the adults there is a visitor centre with music making classes, learn about woodland conservation and the ancient surrounding forests. Also if you and the kids would like to relax and enjoy a nice meal the visitor centre has a conservatory caf' which provides nice meals and snacks.
Visit the Snowdon Mountain Railway
The Majestic Snowdonia mountains are a place of legend. At over 3,560ft it is a ancient landscape that dominates the north of Wales. The Snowdon railway has been used to travel around the mountain peak for over one hundred years. The journey starts at Llanberis Station and obviously peaks at the summit where you will enjoy the breath taking beauty of the Welsh countryside. During this ride you will also receive a commentary from a tour guide about the history of the area, revealing the myths, history and wildlife.
