Boasting the highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 operating system, its spec list also includes a 5 mega pixel camera, 1GHz processor, Wi-Fi with DLNA connectivity and heaps of on board storage.

The 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen does a great job of displaying photos and videos in the highest of display quality thanks to up to 16 million individual colours being displayed within a pixel size of 480x 800. Multi-touch input support allows features such as pinch to zoom to be carried out, whilst the standard accelerometer and proximity sensors are also included.

A generous 16 GB of internal storage is provided as standard within the LG Optimus 7. This is sure to prove ample even for users who like to store their entire digital music collection within their phone, as this level of storage is capable of storing thousands of files of many different formats. It also means that additional storage such as a microSD slot is simply not required.

Class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE keep the LG Optimus 7 connected to the appropriate cellular networks. Internet access is provided initially courtesy of 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides a fast and reliable connection at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. Whenever users have access to local wireless networks, they can take advantage of the phones Wi-Fi compatibility for an enhanced browsing experience. The package of connectivity features is finished off with Bluetooth, microUSB and DLNA. The latter allows users to wirelessly stream multimedia to compatible hardware devices such as televisions, speakers or computers.

Users are able to take superb quality still images with the LG Optimus 7 thanks to its stunning 5 mega pixel digital camera. High quality still images are assured thanks to a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944. Autofocus and an LED flash are included, as is geo-tagging. The camera also boasts the ability to shoot video footage in 720p quality high definition. One of the more innovative features of the camera is the ability to take panoramic photos. This automatically lines up your next photo, and takes it within the optimum position.

The Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system looks great thanks to its innovative tile layout. This allows users to easily access whichever application they need, and many of them have live updates within the on screen icon, meaning that users can get an overview of their e-mail and message inboxes, as well as notifications on social networking sites such as Facebook.

The LG Optimus 7 has several entertainment features including a versatile internal media player which supports several music and video file formats, as well as a stereo FM radio and a number of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of downloadable games). It is also equally effective as a productivity tool in workplace. This is thanks to an organiser, voice memo recorder and Microsoft Office document viewer/editor.
