The Nokia E5 displays all contacts on the home screen making it easy for the user to see all their friends and colleagues, by picture, name, number, their latest messages and their Facebook status. The handset also features a 5 megapixel phone for photos and video recording, along with location based services and support for plenty of entertainment.

The phone has a high quality 2.36 inch display above dedicated home screen, menu, call and end and five way Navi keys sitting elegantly on top of a full traditional QWERTY keyboard for faster and easier typing when messaging and emailing. The home screen is fully customisable by the user, allowing them to change their backgrounds, themes and icons as well as ringtones and screen savers.

This Symbian (version 9.3) smartphone offers many preloaded applications including the People-Centric home screen and Quickoffice which can open and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents alongside other applications supporting ZIP and PDF reading. Email is provided for business users with Mail for Exchange and for personal use supports up to 10 personal email accounts from third party providers such as Google Mail and Yahoo Mail, along with a free Ovi Mail account included for use with Nokia Messaging services. Instant messaging is also featured.

The E5 features the Nokia Web Browser for viewing full HTML webpages and supports Web feeds also, while also having Facebook and Twitter integrated. The Ovi Store provides the user with the capability to download further applications, while Ovi Share lets them quickly share files and photos online. Meanwhile this phone which has integrated A-GPS also has Nokia Maps which provide the user with their location, route planning and turn-by-turn voice navigation along with landmarks and local places such as restaurants.

A 5 megapixel resolution full focus camera is also present on this handset, with many great features to enable the user to capture the best photo first time regardless of light conditions, such as various capture and scene modes, along with the LED flash (also with several modes). The camera also has up to three times digital zoom and can record video at 15 frames per second which is equal to DVD quality, with playback at the same standard.

The Nokia E5 is an impressive and elegant looking smartphone with a fantastic camera and easy to use user interface offering a fast and simplistic way for the user to move around the phone getting the services they need, such as Email and messaging, social networking, location and navigation features and music too.
