The recently announced Nokia C6 offers the epitome of what the manufacturer is capable of. With its long list of specifications, and refreshing styling with a full QWERTY keyboard, this looks set to be a popular handset on its release in the 2nd quarter of 2010.

Vibration and MP3 ringtones are the primary means of alerting users to incoming calls and messages. It also allows users to customise their handset so they can hear a song of their choice every time the phone rings. A built in speakerphone system and a 3.5mm audio jack allow users to talk hands free on the move.

A variety of different connectivity methods are utilised by the C6 in order to stay connected to both cellular networks and the internet. Class 32 EDGE and GPRS provide the C6 with its connection to cellular networks in areas with little or no 3G coverage. In areas covered by 3G, HSDPA provides an internet connection at speeds of up to 7.2 Mega bytes per second alongside HSUPA at speeds of up to 5.76 Mega bytes per second. In areas where there is a signal from a wireless internet router, the Nokia C6 makes use of Wi-Fi connectivity to gain a much faster internet connection and therefore an enhanced web browsing experience. Bluetooth v2.0 offers the means to connect to other phones in order to share data such as media files and contact information. A USB connection provides a means by which the phone can be linked to a computer in order to carry out similar tasks, or to back up phonebook information.

The Nokia C6 measures 113x53x16.8mm and weighs in at just 150 grams. Its lightweight makes it a comfortable phone to hold so is a pleasure to use on the move. Available in both Black and White colour variants, the C6 is a stylish phone which is unmistakably a Nokia.

The C6 features a spacious internal phonebook which can store a practically unlimited number of entries. It also includes the popular photocall feature which allows a photo to be assigned to each contact. This is then displayed every time that person calls or sends a message. 240 MB of internal memory is provided for storage of files such as music tracks or video files. A micro SD slot has a pre-installed 2 GB memory card for the same purpose but this can be swapped for a memory card of up to 16 GB to gain a large amount of storage.

The built in digital camera boasts 5 Mega pixels. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels so the budding photographers out there have a powerful camera to play with, and take excellent quality snapshots. Several image enhancing features are included with the camera's software, including geo-tagging, face and smile detection, autofocus and LED flash. It also has the ability to shoot video. This is in VGA quality at 30 frames per second.

The impressive spec list combined with the attractive styling make the Nokia C6 a phone to keep tabs on leading up to its release date.
