The HTC HD Mini is a compact yet powerful Smartphone. Running the Microsoft Windows mobile professional OS, it boasts a number of key features ranging from touchscreen navigation of the user interface, Wi-Fi Internet access and impressive five mega pixel digital camera.

The internal phonebook within the HTC HD mini can store a seemingly endless number of contacts and boasts the popular Photocall feature. 384 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM makes up the internal memory. For storage of data such as music tracks, video clips and photos etc, the micro SD slot is provided and this can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB.

In order to provide the HTC HD mini with optimum connectivity to cellular networks and the Internet dependent upon location and network coverage, a number of different methods are utilised. Internet access is provided via an HSDPA connection at speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at speeds of up to 2 MB per second) in areas covered by 3G. Wi-Fi Technology allows a faster Internet connection to be achieved by utilising the signals provided by wireless Internet routers, resulting in an enhanced web browsing experience. To connect their handset to compatible hardware devices, both Bluetooth and micro USB connections are provided as standard.

As mentioned, a five mega pixel camera is included which operates a pixel resolution of 2592x 1144 pixels, resulting in high quality still images. Autofocus is included within the cameras software package which simplifies the task of taking quality images. Geo-tagging is also provided which automatically records the location at which a photo was taken based on GPS. The camera can also shoot video in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second offering an alternative method of image capture.

A good number of additional features is included ranging from a versatile internal media player Facebook and twitter integration for social networking fans along with Pocket Office, which is a document viewer compatible with Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, one note and PDF documents. The operating system, in conjunction with a powerful 600 MHZ Qualcomm processor, handles demanding applications with ease whilst providing a fast and smooth means of navigating the user interface.

As the name suggests, the HTC HD Mini is a compact and pocket friendly handset measuring 103.8x 57.7x 11.7 millimetres and is for also extremely light weight at just 110 g making it a comfortable handset to hold and use.

The TFT capacitive touchscreen measures 3.2 inches and utilises a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels to display up to 65K colours. This results in brilliant clarity and colour rendering of on screen imagery making it ideal for viewing photos and video files. An accelerometer sensor is built in which automatically rotates the on screen image based upon the orientation of the phone, allowing it to be viewed in both portrait and landscape forms.
