The Cheater Makes a Choice

The person who decides to look outside of their relationship for intimacy is the bad guy. It is fairly easy for the hurt party to find sympathy and plenty of people to take their side. As soon as people find out that somebody they know has been cheated on, they can immediately emphathize. Knowing somebody else's relationship is having trouble makes us take a quick look at our own relationship just to make sure it's not headed in the same direction. Checking in on our relationship from time to time is a good way to catch a potential problem before it gets too far gone to fix.

Since we have all the necessary information to form opinions of what's going on in our lives we are usually correct to judge it as being good or bad. In other people's relationships there are way too many missing pieces of the puzzle for us to get a good look at the true picture. From the outside looking in all we can really see is the surface stuff. Sometimes what's on the surface covers something far more complicated than it looks.

No matter what the circumstances, cheating is not seen as a positive behavior and the person doing it is judged the same way. But is it really fair to judge a person who has cheated without having all the details? No. Chances are good that we will never get all of the details even when they are told to us by the person who was cheated on. They will be telling the story from their perspective and it is definitely going to be biased.

Is a person as bad as their actions, or is it possible that the person's life is bad and it trickled down influencing their decisions? Being unfaithful is something that most people don't aspire to be, but it is not that difficult a situation to get into. It is a decision, but it can be one that presents itself without warning, and other times it can be one that was considered for a long time and just felt right at the time.

Who is behind the face of the cheater that hides under the surface of all the lies and deception? Your normal everyday person who was feeling such a lack of something in their life that they decided they did not want to go another day without it. It is also the person who found themselves, unexpectedly, in a situation that pushed their limits of self control and logic.

We all know our physical point of no return, the place where our minds give our control to our bodies. Sometimes cheating can be as simple as that but the consequences and the regret never are. When the person cheating decides to intentionally find what they are missing in life with someone other than their significant other, the ending is always the same. Lives are changed forever, even the life of the cheater, no matter why they did it.
