The 22nd Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championship Races arrives fast, with purses over $14 million. The eight race program at Belmont Park will air Saturday October 29, 2005 at 1pm ET on NBC.

In this World Series of horse racing, four defending champions and six undefeated runners will be featured. The 4.68 million dollar Classic will be highlighted, as usual, including Saint Liam, the morning-line favorite, favored to win 2/1. His fiercest competition- Goodwood Stakes' winner Rock Hard Ten (3/1), Jockey Club Gold Cup champ Borrego (5/1) and Irish import Oratorio (12/1).

Other races include the Sprint, for which Lost in the Fog is the unbeaten favorite. The Mile, Distaff, Turf, Filly and Mare Turf, Juvenile, and Juvenile Fillies have their own favorites. Horse racing's biggest day will determine practically every divisional championship as well as Horse of the Year. Borrego, Rock Hard Ten, and Saint Liam are featured contenders for this prestigious award.
