The Afflictions of The Righteous

Psalms 34:19 says that the afflictions of the righteous are many but God delivers him from them all. This is a verse that should always be near a born again Christian's heart. When you gave your life to Christ you entered a battle field that will last until the day you go to heaven. Some Christians, especially the newly born again ones do not usually understand why after making this very important decision, your life becomes a hell not the heaven you thought. Mostly, your finances go haywire, rejection follows and diseases. This can be a very confusing time but be assured that God cannot let trials that we cannot handle come our way. He first strengthens you and gives you the grace to go through whatever he allows.

Every trial and temptation is tested by God to make sure that it will only serve the purpose he intends. To strengthen your faith in him. Note that the devil is always looking for ways to make you fall and he will go to any extent to do this. Once he knows that there is nothing he can do that will make you get out of the salvation of God, he will be doing things that still away your joy.

It is your choice to either lead life as a frustrated and unhappy Christian or enjoy life knowing that God will deliver you from every affliction thrown your way. It does not matter what it is, just know that he is in control. There is nothing that happens in your life without his knowledge. Just trust him that as he delivered you from past afflictions, even this one, he will deliver you.
