The Australian army was merged together in 1901 to form Commonwealth military forces from their existing colonial structure. These aircrafts have the ability to dodge the radars of enemies and can fly a long distance and protect themselves from surface to air missile attack. Additionally it is intended to acquire unmanned air craft with bombing and surveillance means. The unmanned aircrafts which has been inducted to Australian Air Force will protect and prevent and attack enemy territory. Moreover, it can be put in with active electronically scanned array radars which has low maintenance cost and can be used as jamming tools.

The Royal Australian Air Force is playing an important and active role in peace keeping, controlling conflict, preventing illegal fishing, detecting marine pollution, detecting drugs and infiltration of unauthorized people.
