Winters in most states across the US are cold and miserable, which is why you need to think about ways of keeping warm this year. Unfortunately you can no longer just keep the heating on all day, every day throughout the winter. This would cost you a small fortune in heating bills at the end of the season.

There are other things that you can do in order to keep warm that do not cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. A hot towel cabinet is a good example of keeping warm this winter. It won’t heat up the room, but it is able to warm up all sorts of clothing and linen which in turn will keep you warm.

You mainly see these cabinets in salons and spa’s, but they are now readily available on the retail market for all consumers to purchase. You may have already seen one at your hairdresser or salon. The towel cabinet essentially is a small box with a front hinged door that plugs into a wall socket. Within the compartment you are able to warm up items of clothing such as socks, pajamas and even your dressing gown. You can also set the warmers on a timer so that you can have your clothes warmed up for you when you get back from work.

Other items that many people don’t think about that can be used in these hot towel cabinets are bed linen and blankets. Rather than getting into a cold bed in an evening when it is so cold outside, you can lie on top of a warm sheet and wrap a warm blanket around you. It is well known that most people that get into a warm bed will stay warm through the evening. The towel warmers do not use much energy when in use, so you can use them for longer to warm up various items throughout the day, ready for when you come home.
