While Sammy Sosa is making a come back with the Rangers where he is going to make $500,000 and incentives, Barry Bonds signed a big $16 million contract. They are two of the biggest contemporary hitters who show up on 2007 MLB scene to battle for the leading role.
Who is the favorite? It is very hard to predict since both of them have been exceptionally good during their participation in the major league. But definitely the season looks a little harder for Sosa, who is coming back to the League and has a lot of expectations on his shoulder.
The future for Sosa is uncertain, it may be as successful as it was in the past or not as in 2005; his return to the Major League was kind of surprising, but certainly he still has a hold on the heart of many of the fans who can not forget the fifth place off all time hitters; he is absolutely aiming to erase his graceless departure on 2005.
On the other hand, Barry Bonds heads into his 22nd season as if he wants to prove the baseball world wrong for ever doubting him, in regards to the use of prohibit substances. He has hit 734 home runs and now he's feeling better than ever looking slimmer than a year ago and really anxious to show his talent.
This year the professional baseball player has the opportunity to break the home run record and he is positive about it, he was with little argument the player of the 90's and he surely wants to claim the 2009 title but to get it he will have work hard to break the record.
As I mentioned before, it is hard to predict, Sosa or Bonds, both of them deserve the fans' admiration but who will be the MLB 2007 star? Only the time will give us the answer, I already picked my favorite.
