Experiment
Once you believe you've got loads of ideas, you need to evaluate them from your own perspective. Think of these aspects:
- the activity you'd like to do: organizing, management, selling, teaching, consulting etc.
- your dreams: music, creation, taking care of others etc.
- issues you concern a lot about: environmental protection, young people problems, political changes, unemployment, social issues etc.
- unrealized plans: idealistic teenage ambitions, a will to change something etc.
- hobbies: gardening, pets, reading, sports etc.
- demand of specialists in the market.
Having picked the most pleasant and possible perspectives, you should try them in the "experimental space". Make a list of the ways you could try new roles without risking it all. It could be a voluntary activity, your own projects and so on. The most important thing is that you should try to practice something you never did, yet what interests you. Thus you would be able to experience whether you really like it, whether you feel quite well in the specific work form, schedule, conditions etc. While trying, step back a while and have a look at your results. Look what progress you made, see if your expectations justify themselves, what people around you think of your work etc. if you feel you like the new activity only partially, think what could be changed so that you felt 100% content. The aim of such try outs is to pick out the activities that you could cross out from your list as non-suitable for your further career plans.

Strengthen your advantages
While searching for a perfect new job you want to do, don't forget your own self. Find your own weaknesses and strengths; create your own "value". Find features that distinguish you from the others. It doesn't imply only specific professional knowledge. It might be even a huge passion for some specific things or your own character features. Consult your friends and family: how do they see you? Let them describe you objectively. Try to depict yourself: the more objective you remain about yourself, the clearer image of yourself you create, the easier it gets to convince the others of that as well.
Make an invest-in-myself strategy. Think of skills you should improve, knowledge you should acquire. Maybe you need to get more news about computers? Maybe you need to take some professional courses? Consider all the perspectives, practical internships, education programs.
Remember, all your efforts finally pay out. It is important to understand that changing profession isn't a failure. On the contrary, it is a step that requires a lot of courage and a big will to achieve happiness. And there is really no wrong time to do it. Even if you're studying in the senior years of university, or if you're in the greatest years of your career that you honestly don't like, or even if you're a mother of 3 kids - you can always change your profession and your life for the better.

A human being is a free person. He has a free will and a right to make decisions. But he/she shouldn't be afraid to dare. Don't be afraid to try and even make mistakes, but later correct them! Even if you fail, get up and go ahead! Mistakes only make us stronger. Of course, you should avoid crucial mistakes. Don't let only emotions control your visions. Think objectively, because it involves risk, too. It is a matter of responsibility as well.
Be brave, try, don't let system "eat" you and your happiness. Create what you like, change your life - it is never too late!
