San Jose Tips 2010

What I did not know is that there is a San Jose in Spain, California and Costa Rica! When I found out there were 3 I thought I would look a bit further. San Jose means Saint Joseph and is generally 1 of two main cities but can be a place to check out.
We have holiday villas and apartments in San Jose, Spain which is a secluded town in the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata, that only has approx 175 people living there, so you can truly have a tranquil holiday away from the usual hustle and bustle of your busy life. It would certainly be great for a romantic weekend break away too.
If you like scuba dving then this is also the place to be, the diving center is in the centre of San Jose so not to far out. You might also try the local Kayak School
Contrary to other parts of Spain it has not been as over developed but is significantly becoming more popular. Presently there is a major street in the town where there is a recreation area, shops, bicycle rental, boat trips, horse riding, windsurfing and land rover excursions. So there's plenty to complete. Or you may curl up on a sun lounger with a good book next to your personal pool in your luxurious rented villa.
Throughout your stay try a bit of of the local traditional Spanish food:
Gazpacho Soup - a cold soup that is refreshing in the summer time
Salmoreio - A soup based on tomato and bread
Huevos a la Flamenca - a traditional Spanish recipe
Potato and Chorizo chips - Chorizo is one of hundreds of Spanish sausages.
Sangria - a wine punch which originated from Spain.
How to make Sangria:
Take 3 litres of your preferred red wine
1 litre of lemonade
1 Glass of brandy
1 glass of liqueur
2 peaches
1 apple
1 orange
1 lemon
Cinnamon
Sugar
Wash all the fruit and slice it into pieces, incorporate the wine and leave this for a couple of hours so the wine absorbs the flavour. Include the other drinks, combine and pop in the fridge.
And then sit back, relax and enjoy.
If you are looking for a day away from your rented holiday villa look at heading on to the major street and hiring a bike and then capturing the sights from there and even traveling to the local shore but either way don't forget your sun block!
In comparison to San Jose in California Spain is very quiet and tranquil. San Jose in California has a population of 1,006,892 approximately and is the 10th biggest city in the U.S. The traditional food varies from Mexican to fast food and gourmet burgers. Battered and fried foods are not common in California as they are in Central American but fish tacos tempura and French fries are so there is lots of choice when you're out and about.
So when arranging a holiday villa in San Jose for tranquillity go to Spain and for family fun and lots to do go to California.
