Am I the only one realizing how much money there is to be made in Saint Louis real estate? I am asking all of my California friends if they realize that now is the time to buy real estate. I am asking them if they know how to go about buying real estate out of California. Of course the answer is always no. Saint Louis real estate is much different than buying real estate in California, some of the reasons are more obvious than others.
In California, the prices are so high, you really never see the benefits of renting a house out. The reason we have so many foreclosures is because so many people thought they were real estate investors, put money into a house, put it on an option arm loan, and got rent that covered the monthly payment, maybe a little bit of cash flow, and waited for the market to appreciate. Well, unfortunately, the market never did appreciate, and now those properties are left vacant to foreclosure.
