Robbie Williams has had his share of ups and downs in the music industry. He was off to a fine start when he joined Take That, by far one of the biggest British boy bands of all time. But Robbie wasn't settled with this over industrialized feeling he had being part of the group and left to pursue bigger things. He hooked up with Oasis for a little bit, but they dropped him before long. That is when he decided to give a solo career a try and sure enough this proved to be his niche.

Then in 2006 Robbie hit another bump in the road, or should we say major pothole. He released his album Rudebox and much to his dismay it was ripped apart by the critics and fans rejected it also. In spite of the less than glowing reviews however, the album still topped charts around the world and sold over five million copies. The problem with the album was thought to be the fact that he was no longer working with Guy Chambers who had written all of his prior hits. Robbie decided at this point to take a hiatus.

Now after a much need break, the hiatus is over and Robbie is set to release his new album Reality Killed The Video Star on November 9th. Now one would think that there wouldn't be too many fans still waiting to hear from Robbie Williams, but he actually has a huge fan base and there is a lot of chatter about this much anticipated release.

Trevor Horn was the producer on this album and that can only be a good thing considering what he has done in his past and who he has worked with. You get the feeling that there is some of the Robbie old style in this new baby along with some of the best from the last one he did. It is all new though. and should be a nice treat for fans. Who have been waiting.

There are a whole bunch of folks that are anticipating this new album. You have the fans of old that have been hanging on. His coworkers in the industry must be somewhat curious. Then there are all those music critics that dogged him out so bad last time, they must be salivating at the smell of fresh meat. And you have Robbie, who has gone so many different ways musically already in his life, he must be curious about how people will like this one.
