Why is keeping your current product line in front of current customers an important things? Quite frankly, they will most likely be the first ones to buy your products. If a customer has already purchased a product from you, they are more likely to buy from you again thus providing you with an easier sales opportunity. This has to do with a customer already trusting you by way of their first purchase. This is what current studies have shown and I find this to be true in my current business as well.

Think of it this way: I pay "X" amount of dollars to advertise to "X" number of people in the hopes of making "X" amount of dollars in return. This is a normal advertising plan. However, if I already have "X" number of customers then I only need to spend "X" amount of dollars to inform them of the products that are new and upcoming. The cost to advertising to a large demographic can be expensive. However, the cost to send an email or newsletter to a list of people who have already purchased my products is considerably less and these customers are more likely to buy (in my opinion). We have now saved time, energy, and money in the hopes of generating a quicker sale thus building a better base for us (the business owner).

Another key factor we must take into account is that our current customer base has already taken a liking to our product. This small factor seems to be generally overlooked in today's market, namely, in the Internet market. Our customers have already chosen to purchase from us because they trust us or our products and services have caught their eye. We can benefit our business by way of sales by simply keeping our new products in front of the current customer base. As we have seen, this can be cost effective and help us generate an easier sale.

As we mentioned before, keeping your products in front of your current customers is a key factor that a business owner should consider when building his/her business plan. This will save us time, money, and energy as we aim to make money in our businesses.
