Procrastination .. Overcome with Why!

Procrastination is the ultimate dream buster.

Procrastination can slaughter just about any valuable enterprise. It will kill your enterprise, personal dreams and goals, the time with family and anything worthwhile. Unfortunately, we all have tendencies to save things until later. I have been trapped under this burden many times and it is a constant challenge for me to focus on being productive.

Sometimes, I find myself on Facebook making comments to friends, telling myself that I am creating a dream. That I am making connections for more business. That these comments are going to add bundles of cash to my bottom line when they purchase an affiliate product or two. Really, I am just surfing the web, snooping around on Facebook as my kids say, "stalking the neighbors".

In order to overcome procrastination, what we must do, is commit to our WHY. It is imperative to kill the evil procrastination. Make a decision WHY we need more free time, better health, more income, better personal relationships and so on. Everyone's needs / whys are different and to greater or lesser extremes.

Picture this; there is a 12 inch wide plank crossing a 100ft wide raging river. The plank is about 150ft above the water and it would be sure death if one would fall from this height. I will pay you 1 million dollars, now, to cross this plank to the other side, sounds good, but so far no takers out of the 50 people in our marketing club. Let's up the reward a little, how about 5 million to cross the plank? Only a couple takers brave enough or stupid enough to risk sure death for 5 mill.

OK, my last offer, your family is in grave danger and certain catastrophic peril on the other side of the river. To save their lives you must cross the plank; will you make the crossing to save your most loved family? At this point almost everyone's hand goes up. Of course you'll cross this plank somehow, someway. Your WHY has just become big enough, meaningful and worth risking your life to save another.

Think of your life this way. Think of your business this way. Consider overcoming procrastination to save your family. To be able to give them more time with you or to share beautiful adventures together. Or just enjoy more life.

Now it's your turn to cross your river. It won't matter how when you know your WHY. You'll figure out how to write articles or post in your blog. You'll learn how to create video marketing. You'll make those phone calls to prospects. You'll turn off the TV and read a book to improve your mind and to open new possibilities.

This article is really not about the money or the business you can build but the life you dream of. The WHY is so different for each of us. It is not about the money or you would be happier sitting in a pool full of $100 bills all by yourself.

What has held me back is that I have been afraid of what people think of me, of what I am doing and ultimately saying no. Why a network marketing business, they ask, why sales, why having a positive attitude and happy about life or why create ultra rich lifestyle.

I have learned that most people are afraid to fall off their plank and risk looking silly. The lifestyle I want for my family is worth risking everything and it can be for you too. Figured out how to walk the plank, to lose your balance, to slip, to get up and to fall off again, again. Strap on the parachute so that when you fall you can float to the ground and start over again until you cross the river into your paradise.

Let's do this together. Begin right now overcome procrastination get up and start working on living better than ever before. God has promised to provide much to those who ask for much. God wants you to be happy and fulfilled with your cup running over.
