6 Keys To Marketing Your Website For Free

Webmasters understand the diffculty of getting traffic, but what most do not understand is the importance of getting quality backlinks. Most think that they build it and the visitors will come. Now the fact is this is why 99% of websites fail-lack of marketing. I want to go over the 6 keys of internet marketing which if you follow I promise you will see an increase in traffic.
1. Press Releases-These are important when you come out with a new product or service. If you write these correctly it is possible to get national media coverage.
2. Social Bookmarking-Againg the appropriate time to submit to these sites is either when you introduce your website to the internet or come out with a new product or service.
3. Article Submission-This is perhaps my favorite. You can gain an imense amount of visitors as well as some relevant one way backlinks as long as you don't spam.
4. Exchanging links-Most webmasters have given this up, but exchanging links Google itself recommends as long as the link is relevant to your niche. This is the most important part of any marketing campaign and will lead to excellent networking for future needs.
5. Forum signitures-There is a catch to this form of marketing, don't expect to get sales or targetted visitors is you do not use the forums in your niche. This is very important. Now either general or nice forums will give you links just be careful to not break the rules when you put your link in the signiture.
6. Submit to free directories-This is the base of marketing. It is a proven fact you will gain more authority in Google if you get your link accepted in the dmoz directory and if you do not know what directory that is you have alot to learn since it is the biggest directory online. Directory submission will give you thousands of one way or rep links which ever you choose just remember repricol links will usually give you a higher ranking on the directory.
This is the basics for internet marketing. Of course this only covers free marketing and increasing your search engine rankings. One thing I might have missed is blog commenting, it is just very difficult to find blogs that the search engines do follow.
