Photo Retouching is the practice of image editing techniques to photographs so as to create an illusion or deception through analog or digital means. • scan a photograph or a film

• perform the photo retouching using photo-editing software

• print out the photograph

• store the work on a removable medium such as CD-ROM.

Things to be taken care of before going for Photo Retouching :
Firstly, Make sure you own it or have written permission to work on, before you submit a photograph for retouching. Incase you do not own it and also do not have written permission to work on it, then it will be a violation of the US Copyright law.

Secondly, Consider well how it would affect you if the photograph was damaged or lost in transit, before mailing any valued photographs to a photo retouching company. And it is always wisely advisable to take your photograph to a well reputable Photo Lab and get it scanned and placed on a CD-ROM. Then you can then mail the CD-ROM to the particular Photo Retouching Company, or else you can copy and attach the scanned photograph to an Email message, and send it via Email, as per your convenience.
