Carrom is one of the world's preferred indoor board games. The game is generally believed to have invented hundreds of years ago. Although the accurate area where carrom originated is actually unknown, it is thought that it was first took place in either India or Asia. Carrom board is a game, which requires talent, practice and good amount of determination. It could be played at all ages and its fame is progressively growing.

Although carrom is categorized as an indoor game, it needs elements of both substantial and mental skill. It is more alike to marbles or air hockey than it is to any other board games like Monopoly. It is a handy game and the carrom gear could be carried anywhere, and just because of its size, it can be played nearly anywhere. Carom's fame has grown so much that there are events held by federations all over the globe.

Carrom game could be taken place between two, three or four players. If there are two players, then they need to sit opposite to each other. In a game with four players, the players shape up their teams. In case of three players, they are able to play against each other.

Carrom game is played on a wooden board with four pockets. The board carries a rectangular line around the perimeter that is actually the base line from which players make their shots. The game pieces concerned up with coins, are flicked by the striker, alike to the cue ball, which is shot in pool. The aim of the carrom game is to sink all of your pieces before your challenger manages to sink theirs. Your turn to shoot carries on as long as you keep sinking your pieces.

All combinations of carrom shots add up in the game. Points would be counted at the end of every round. Both skill and good fortune are big elements of this carrom. A game comprises of eight boards or 25 points, either comes first. Once you have learned the rules and experienced enough, you would find the game simple to play and a lot of fun.
