From the recently unemployed, to the fully employed wanting to earn an extra income, students wanting to pay their college fees to stay at home Moms' needing cash, it seems like everyone is jumping on the Internet Marketing bandwagon.

In a fast paced - action packed world, affiliate marketing ranks right up there in the fast moving stakes. Just when you think that you've got it sussed, bang! Something changes, Google burps, a product gets deleted or an article submission site changes their TOS and literally within a second all of your campaigns, your hard work and of course your income can be wiped out.

How are you supposed to keep ahead of them all?
One of the great advantages of the popularity of marketing as an affiliate is that although it is a relatively new industry changes happen so quickly that what would take 20 years to learn in the 'real' world takes less than 6 years in cyber-space. This means that there are plenty of successful experts that are still operating and that are readily available to guide you through the process and give you much needed advice when you most need it.

How do we find these guys? (It's not like they are in the phone book!)
One word - Google. It has it's own filter that will tell you where to go for affiliate marketing forums, article marketing forums, PPC forums, Adwords..... well, you get the picture.

There are so many, how do you choose the right ones?
Like any business, your success is reliant on the quality of your product and the quality of your network. Many forums are full of spammers and you have to get through six or seven pages of crap before you get to anything useful. You are not likely to find any worthwhile advice in these ones so don't bother with them.

Won't social networking do the same thing?
Joining a forum is a form of specialized social networking and this is how most business relationships start. To make the most of a forum you also need to contribute and build relationships with like minded members.

So before jumping in and joining every forum available take the time to read through the categories and entries to see how beneficial the site will be to you, how long it has been going and what you can give back to it.
