Google Search Tips:

To search for any term or phrase on Google looks quite an easy work but soften it can be a difficult task when you want to refine the search for example to search for any definition or results from a particular site. I m going to introduce some of the special tips and tricks which can helpt in searching on google.


Search between Titles:

You can refine your search by just telling Google to extract results form only title tags and not from the content to tell Google this u must use a special syntax which is written below:

Syntax:allintitle:xyz


Search for any definition:

You can search for definition of any word quickly by just using this

syntax:

Syntax:define:XYZ

Search in page text:

Usually Google return results after searching in website's text,titles,URL text etc. but you can tell Google to search only in page text and ignore the rest of elements

Syntax:allintext:XYZ

Search in url:

You can tell Googlew to look for pages that contain only your desired word in URL,for this you can use this syntax:

Syntax:allinurl:XYZ

Search within a webpage:

Some times it happens that you feel that some information is located in some particular web site but due to many pages you cannot search your desired information easily for this you can use the following syntax it wil return results only from that site

Syntax:site:XYZ.com abc

(where XYZ=any URL and abc=your desired word)

Finding a page in Google index:

You can find any page in the Google's index by using this syntax:

Syntax:info:XYZ.com

Search for special file type or to ignpre a file type:

You can search for a particular file type or also you can ignore any file type in your search relults by using the syntax below:

To search for particular filetype:

Syntax :XYZ filetype:pdf

To ignore any filetype:

Syntax: XYZ -filetype:pdf

Find what is in Google cache:

To search for a cache in Google use this syntax.

Syntax:cache:xyz.com

Ignore a website:

You can tell Google not to bring results form a particular site for example if you are searching for any term and a particular site is returning many results you may use this syntax to limit your search by excluding that site from your results:

Syntax:-site:XYZ.com
