Introducing the future-iconic ‘What's New Pussy Cat’ T-shirt by Prince Peter Collection.

This defiantly unique piece is a design taken from an original photo of legendary rock n’ roll photographer Mick Rock’s cat, Spike, and since release it has captured the hearts and closets of Hollywood’s hottest. The list of celebs seen rocking the sought after shirt includes stellar A-List power couple Russell Brand & Katy Perry, rock royalty Kelly Osbourne, talented Brit Rupert Grint, R&B legend Maxwell, mutha f@*!in’ princess Taylor Momsen and movie goddess Susan Sarandon. With one blink of its pussycat eyes, this ‘Rock Kitten’ manages to effortlessly span the sexy playfulness of Katy through to the clued up sophistication of Susan, whilst simultaneously satisfying Russell’s relaxed masculinity and the youthful Cool Brittania-tude of Rupert.

PPC’s epic design skills have pulled in the type of much coveted celebrity endorsements that can evade more established brands, catapulting the What’s New Pussycat’ tee to cult celebrity status, a massive coup in the fashion world right now.

The CEO and brand spokesman Ram Narayanan started on the PPC journey in 2009 after collaborating with Mick Rock, often referred to the Man Who Shot the Seventies, on an original print. Now there are a handful of others running with him that emulate the high fashion, pop art, Andy Warhol-esque designs which position Prince Peter Collection as the thrashing front men of rock n’ roll graphic tees .

Ram comments from PPC HQ in New York, itself the eternal muse city for generations of artistes.

“Each piece of clothing is wearable art and absolutely all of our articles of clothing are screen printed by hand, so you’re not getting a commercial factory manufactured piece of clothing. You’re getting the ultimate in hand made, uniquely designed and one off items of clothing that celebrities just love. Why? Just look at some of our designs and see for yourself. Each piece is unique, and is different from the next. No two pieces are exactly alike.”

Ram is obviously proud of PPC’s achievements, and he has every right to be. As well as being totally fierce on every level, the range is also eco friendly and all products use only water based paint, plus every item is made entirely in the USA as opposed to being produced in squalid factories utilising poorly paid workers across the globe. PPC effortlessly invites attention without creating negativity or courting controversy, an easygoing ethos for a forward thinking brand.

The success of the ‘What’s New Pussycat’ tee ensures that the PPC party shows no sign of waning, but Prince Peter’s gang aren’t pausing to take a breath. They believe that to stop is to stagnate, just like how the true music legends lived and breathed it, and this is also the Prince Peter Collection way.
