Poor Csrs Of Directv Driving Away Consumers

A leading satellite TV provider, Directv is once again making news for its customer services now. Consumers are having tough time dealing with customer service representatives (CSRs) of DirecTV. What led subscribers to connect to CSRs of this provider? Well, to clarify any uncomfortable incident. It could be related to bill issues, broadcast error or understanding any package or promotion, which have hidden fees and deceptive marketing strategies.

Whenever a consumer faces any difficulty with a service of a company, he immediately turns to its customer care help. He relies on them and feels that their every doubt will be cleared once they talk to them. But the services are poor and inadequate, then what do the subscribers do? Where do they lodge their complaint or get their problems fixed? The complete incompetence leads to disappointment among users and finally they decide to shift to other competitive company in the market.

If we take the example of DirecTV, initially it had attracted a lot of people into signing up with DirecTV but gradually people came to know about its malpractices and scams, which has grieved them terribly. Moreover, the inability of CSRs has added fuel to the fire, as people are now all the more offended against its poor customer care services coupled with deceptive advertising campaigns. There was this subscriber, who was told that local channels are available to them in high definition, but just as the satellite was installed, he came to know that locals were certainly not in HD format.


Then he called up customer service representative who clarified that locals were not available in HD in his area! This could have been well disclosed to him while committing to the provider, but DirecTV kept this under cover. In fact, the CSR turned out to be very adamant in the conversation and finally failed to give any clear argument favoring the stance. And who was the loser? The subscriber of course. Besides, there have been service problems in the broadcast of channels as well. There were interruptions, frozen scenes in the middle of a movie and final black outs. So, it is really sad that people have deal with unexplainable services, misleading promotional offers, flawed bills, and overall ineffectiveness offered by DirecTV.

Therefore, it is essential that people raise their voice and stand against such satellite TV providers who make futile promises. Although, there have been disputes among the Attorney Generals of 50 states of the US and DirecTV, which has resulted in restitution to the subscribers in full. However, taking compensation is not enough. These providers should be made aware that they have no right to play with the emotions of people at large. Monetary claims are just a temporary solution, but we should fight our right and to put an end to rising corruption.
