Cut your alcohol intake way back, if you drink. And, cut down or fully eliminate coffee if you're a coffee person. As far as diet goes, you need additional protein and more fruits and vegetables to produce your neurotransmitters. It may seem like a lot, but folks who're having panic attacks need 0.5 to 1.0 grams of protein for each pound of weight they carry.
And, please be sure to drink adequate water, dehydration and panic attacks go hand in hand. A gallon a day or more is the right amount.
And of course, you can't create a healthy brain without a simple exercise program.
Even though some people feel it takes a lot of time and effort to exercise, that's just not true. Just stick with a choice that you find moderately pleasant and easy to do. Repetitive motion exercises like walking, jogging, swimming and biking are great ones. Stay regular in your practice and do it at least three to four times a week.
