First Oruro Carnival 2009 Convite - a Folkloric entrance of the dance groups towards the Socavon, wearing their rehearsal suits in devotion to the Virgin of Socavon. All the participant groups visit the temple where the ceremony of permission and promise takes place.

During this day rehearsals and evenings to honor Candelaria Virgin (Socavon Virgin) take place as well as the preparation of the different folkloric dance groups from all Bolivia that participate in the Oruro Carnival 2009.

The National Band Contest takes place during one day on the Civica Avenue from 08:00 in the morning. The National Band Contest is a special spectacle with 6000 musicians performing as one.

Traditional Challa of the enterprises during the day. At the night enjoy the traditional evening along the Oruro Carnival 2009 route until sunrise, accompanied by folkloric groups at different points of Oruro city.
Friday is dedicated to the traditional Convite del "TÃo" and the "Challa" of the mines is made.

On Saturday is the marvelous folkloric entrance of the Oruro Carnival 2009. During the whole day folkloric dance groups perform spectacular choreographic demonstrations towards the Socavon Sanctuary to honor the Socavon Virgin. The entrance program starts at 7:00 a.m. and is the central day in the Oruro Carnival 2009 festivities.
