Are you someone who uses olive oil facial cleansers? Or are you someone who is looking to buy an olive oil based cleansing product? If you answered ‘yes' to either of these questions, make sure you read this article fully. I have something important I need to share with you.
A lot of people are under the impression that olive oil is a natural cleanser. It is just a misconception. Olive oil does not have cleansing properties. It cannot absorb the excess sebum produced in your skin. It is a natural emulsifier which nourishes and moisturizes your skin. So, you cannot cleanse your skin properly by using an olive oil facial cleanser alone. This, however, does not mean that you should avoid olive oil completely. Let me tell you why.
Olive oil is a very good moisturizer. Skin experts say that it shows closer compatibility with the human skin than any other natural plant oil. It revitalizes the skin cells and improves the skin tone. So, I am not saying that it is not good for your skin. All I am saying is that olive oil facial cleansers are not the right choice for you if you are looking to cleanse your skin naturally.
If you are looking to cleanse your skin, you should look for substances which have the ability to absorb oil, dead skin cells, grime, and other such unwanted substances from your face gently. One such substance is Kaolin, a special type of clay found in New Zealand. It is rich in minerals like silica and aluminum oxide. It cleanses your skin deeply, heals blemishes and acne, and improves the circulation. Bentone gel, a special type of clay extract, is also a natural cleanser. Since both these substances are quite rare, they are found only in a handful of high quality organic cleansers.
Shea butter and allantoin are also some of the natural substances that can be found in these cleansers. These substances moisturize the skin and nourish the skin cells, but they do not make the skin greasy. Unlike most other cleansers, these organic cleansers do not have a drying effect on the skin as they contain the right mixture of natural cleansing agents and natural moisturizing agents. This is why such a product is better than an olive oil facial cleanser.
If you cleanse your skin regularly, it is also advisable to use a good moisturizer and a good face cream to make sure your skin does not become too dry. You can use a moisturizer that contains olive oil, avocado oil, macadamia oil, and active manuka honey. You can also use a face cream which contains natural anti aging substances like cynergy TK, wakame, and nano-lipobelle H EQ10 to keep your skin soft, young, and healthy. These products will give you much better results than an olive oil facial cleanser.
What you need to understand is real simple. Olive oil is very good for your skin. It does not, however, have cleansing properties. So, you can use moisturizers and body lotions that contain olive oil. But when it comes to cleansers, you need to avoid olive oil facial cleansers and go for products that contain clay extract and other such natural cleansing substances.
