As far as religion is concerned, North Cyprus remains neutral and this has developed it into a very cosmopolitan region. After Sardinia and Sicily, Cyprus is the 3rd largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and it can be positioned at about 65 km south of Turkey. Other countries close by to Cyprus include Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel and Greece.

You won't be able to visit North Cyprus without seeing a most amazing Mountain range called Kyrenia or the Five Finger Mountains. As mountain ranges go it is quite narrow really, just 130 km long running parallel to the coast and totalling 260 sq Km. The mountains are mainly composed of limestone, dolomite, and marble. The northern part of the island is lush with vegetation and hosts many varieties of trees and plants including olive trees and carob trees. The largest natural spring on the island is also found in the North and is situated in the Five Finger mountain range. Luckily the region is able to many North Cyprus villas whose spectacular views include the Mesaoria plain, located in the island's central region between the Kyrenia and the Troodos mountain ranges.
