Maya Ravan is an English musical choreographed and directed by the acclaimed danseuse Shobana.

Open India Charitable Trust and IGNITE trust present Maya Ravan to support the cause "Educate India; Empower India."

Open India Charitable Trust is a non profit organization dedicated to provide education for the poor children in India. Since their inception they have distributed funds amounting to about Rs.70 lakhs for scholarships and infrastructure assistance to various schools in Tamil Nadu.

IGNITE which is their partner organization funds college education for poor children from Government and Government aided schools. They also help these students in various other ways like conducting spoken English and personality development classes and so on.

Maya Ravan is an English musical choreographed and directed by the acclaimed danseuse Shobana. This National award winning actress is well known proponent of Bharatanatyam and is famed for her Abhinaya. Abhinaya is a concept in Indian dance and drama derived from Bharata's Natya Shastra.

In Maya Ravan she combines some classical dance forms and popular film music and aims to create a unique experience that follows the chronicles Ravana-the ten headed demon.

The narration is rendered by well-known Indian film artistes including Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Milind Soman, Suhasini Maniratnam, Rohini, Revathy and Tabu.
