It was time for me to upgrade the furniture in my living room. Like any consumer, I started looking around. Buying new furniture can be tough. I really have always wanted a beautiful leather sectional, but that is a pretty substantial investment. Shopping around my local furniture stores and leather outlets, I saw a LOT of gorgeous pieces. With astronomical price tags. Call me naive, but I had remained blissfully unaware until now that a leather sofa by itself could be $3,000-4,000! So of course I kept shopping around. Until I found my absolute DREAM seat of rich brown beautiful full leather sectional with a chaise lounge and matching full set of pieces. The cost, you ask? For my dream set of furniture, that will last me forever, I hope? $7,800. Right. Wow. I am a chick on an extremely limited budget! There was absolutely no WAY that I could even dream of making a purchase in this ballpark.

So I sadly slunk out of the furniture store and began looking down less expensive avenues for more affordable leather furniture. As I was browsing craigslist for a few weeks, I couldn't believe my eyes: I found my DREAM SET of leather furniture, the very same one I had wished for in the store! And it was only $500. But it was clearly in need of some work. The color was extremely faded and there was a lot of staining across many of the cushions, and a few of them were even splitting at the seams. So I went to look at it in person, I mean, wouldn't you?

What a STEAL of a deal, that's like 90% off! I had to see it for myself. And it surely was the exact same set I had seen in the store. Now the only question was, can this be repaired? Without thinking twice, I made the purchase, got the furniture home. And then I started asking myself questions and worrying about my decision. Can that huge tear be fixed, and is it going to look like new or look like crap, because I don't have $500 to be throwing away even if it seems like the deal of a lifetime.

Most people don't think that leather can be repaired, in fact it seems to be more likely that people think if something happens to leather, it is ruined forever. I was so thrilled to see that this was not the case!
So I began researching Leather Repair, and Leather Furniture Restoration. Of course the internet was full of cheap products to fix leather yourself, which I was not about to try. There were lots of products offering to be a quick or temporary fix, but that is not an option for me either. I started looking for professional help. And of course there were plenty of companies that did furniture repair, and antique furniture and leather restoration, but only a couple that seemed to specialize in leather. Most of them wanted me to find away haul my furniture to their location. I just barely even got my furniture HOME, and that required me renting a truck (and men)! And that was when I stumbled across some pretty amazing leather care professionals.

This company had fabulous reviews, and was very easy to talk to! They spoke with me on the phone, I sent some photos to their email, and they called me back to discuss my leather repair options, color restoration, and all the leather repairs my furniture needed, and a price. Simple! We scheduled the appointment and I am so pleased with the results. I certainly made the right choice to save my money, and having the leather furniture restored was just as good as buying brand new, but saved me a ton of money!

The leather repair specialists answered every one of my questions about href="http://www.stcharlesleatherrepair.com">leather furniture dye and color restoration, and at the time of the appointment, which was just a few hours and was COMPLETED in only one afternoon, they completed all of the leather repairs. This leather sectional has probably never looked so good. The leather is completely restored, and I cannot even believe my eyes! The surface is smooth and flawless, the huge areas of fading and seams splitting that worried me the most are all totally invisible now. The color over all the pieces of the sectional is rich and vibrant!

Now that I have seen the results, I can't believe I almost (for a second) considered investing THOUSANDS of dollars in a brand new set of leather furniture when the results of leather restoration on a used set saved me SO MUCH MONEY.

If you own leather furniture that needs work, or are considering buying new because yours is beginning to look worn and used, save yourself some money and consider leather repair and leather restoration! You will see the results for yourself.
