The best Hollywood twosomes begin in Chelsea. Well, maybe from here on out they do, as it was reported that stars Jay-Z and Leonardo Dicaprio hit it off in the Juliet Supper Club in Chelsea. The unlikely duo were spotted by celebrity gossip bloggers entering the club at different times with different people but apparently the two found one another and spent the night partying together in a booth towards the back. It is said that the two shared some Johnny Walker Black Label and that the most consistent HOVA was notably appreciative when DJ Martial and DJ Jus Ske spun back to back Jay-Z tracks.

It seems that the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” is making the UK rounds in recent days reaching out to fellow stars worldwide. He has met with Tinchy Stryder recently as the two teamed up to launch Takeover RocNation, an artist management company that has yet to sign anyone. Stryder said that despite the fact Jay-Z is a worldwide media mogul, “he makes you feel really welcome … He’s so humble and down to earth.”

And King HOVA’s takeover of Britain isn’t finished yet as he is set to join the stage with his wife Beyoncé and their friend Kanye West during the Glastonbury Festival which is to take place from 22nd – 26th June in Pilton this summer. The headlining act was originally supposed to be Beyoncé’s alone; however, she has invited the two to join her on the last day, along with Coldplay and U2 during the earlier days of the music festival. Much like her husband, who headlined the show back in 2007 to generate interest for his impending release of the Platinum album American Gangster, Beyoncé is due to release her newest album which has been in the studio since 2009.

Jay-Z has also just launched his new ambitious website which is a collection of thoughts, inspiring artists, trendy clothes and plenty of celebrity interviews. While the layout is aesthetically appealing, the navigation can be a bit tricky with plenty of information and little opinion. However, that appears to be part of the appeal that Jay-Z is trying to create: “there is a basic metric for what we cover but, more importantly, I believe it's how we cover it. The DNA is to basically let the subject speak for itself. We don't want to tell you what to think.”

And with that UK-wide takeover, Jay-Z is one step closer to taking over the world as the ultimate self-made media mogul. A job well done, and on to the next one.
