Iron Man 2 Movie Trailer
E.M. Hammer

You wanted it and now it's here: Iron Man 2 is coming to a theater near you this spring. The question of course is what it's about and when the official trailer is going to come out. We don't have the official trailer yet, but we can tell you a little something about to expect in the next movie.

First off, Jon Favreau has been brought back to direct the sequel after he stunned the box office with his smash success back in 2008 and Robert Downey Jr., whose career had been in something of a nose dive is coming back as well, reprising his role as Peter Stark, the Iron Man himself. This time, our hero will face off against old comic book favorites Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) and Whiplash (Mickey Rourke).

Readers will recall that the first movie ended with Stark admitting to his true identity as Iron Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury visiting him to discuss the "Avenger Initiative." This time around, Stark is dealing with the consequences of his rash decision and the subsequent fame and infamy that come from admitting his superhero status. He is battling an increasing drinking problem and being confronted by his strange new secretary, Natasha, who just so happens to be a super spy in her own right, the Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson ).

Of course Pepper Potts (still played by Gwyneth Paltrow) is back as well and is now the CEO of Stark Industries. We can only imagine all the tension on the set and in the movie between her and Johansson's Black Widow. Still, Paltrow has promised fans that this will not be the typical bout between two women fighting for the same man, telling Entertainment Weekly that this is not going to be your standard cat fight. Instead, it will be more nuanced, providing for a level of sexual tension sure to thrill movie goers this spring.

Missing from the original cast is Terrence Howard, who played Stark's best friend, Lt. Colonel James "Rhodey" (War Machine) Rhodes. He is being replaced by Don Chedle of Oceans 11 and Hotel Rwanda fame.

So what will the new movie be about? Well we do know this: Favreau has promised that the movie will explore Stark's alcoholism but will not be a rehash of the comic story, Demon in a Bottle. Rather, says Iron Man Robert Downey Jr., it's going to be kind of an interim story, taking place somewhere between Iron Man's Origins and the Demon in a Bottle Story.

The one thing we can say for sure about the movie is that it's going to hot and action packed. But for more details, we're going to have to wait for that movie trailer, which should be arriving shortly on a screen near you.
