Iconic Love Story

With dire consequences Captain Corelli, an Italian Military leader, and his troops invade the small island. Eventually the two cross paths and they fall intensely in love as the story unfolds, despite their obvious differences.

At least they do in the film. The books angle is much more dire with a tragic and hard hitting war story taking centre stage over the heart warming 'chicken soup for the soul' love story.

Despite this there is no denying that the location for this truly memorable story could not have been better.
