Beginner piano lessons can often be a misunderstood phrase. Is the journey to learning the piano an easy one? In most cases, it may be a very difficult task for individuals new to it. The piano can seem like an attainable task if we were to simplify things.
So how do we make something simple?
Normally a large overview of everything necessary for a particular task can only serve to complicate matters. Details can be a great thing, but for them to be effective, the right place and time is necessary. For us to achieve easy piano lessons while we're in this learning stage, it will be necessary to make the concepts as general as possible.
Let us use the correct posture while sitting at a piano for our example. Sitting in a certain way will allow us to be comfortable yet effective. It ranges from the proper seat position, the back, shoulders, elbows, the height, your hand, fingers, feet, knees, and a few other things. There are specific and detailed ways for each of these to be done.
This can be simplified by making the entire concept as general as possible. The first thing is to simply know that we need to have a correct posture while at a piano. For us to begin with the proper posture, we will now proceed to simplify the process.
First off we will want to sit a little more towards the front of the chair and keep a straight back. This alone, and only this is what we pay attention to for now. It needs to be kept simple, practiced, and to get used to.
Once used to this and comfortable with it, we add a little more to our posture. For the next part, we need to put our feet just a little extended in front of our knees while we keep it flat on the floor. It should be noted that we should be accustomed and comfortable with the task in the paragraph prior to this by the time we get here. Our process of making things simple should be a little more clear at this point.
I could have said and described the proper position and angle for everything necessary regarding the proper posture while playing the piano. This would only serve to complicate the matter. It can make the task a bit difficult to execute and get started by trying to be too perfect.
Working on a step by step basis is also part of making beginning piano lessons be a possibility as we have done. Small and easily understood bits of information that can be applied one at a time can help us move forward with our learning and understand what we learn effectively.
Once these simple things are done and practiced, we can gradually add the details and refine what we do. At this point, we are already used to the basics, and making use of the finer details becomes almost effortless to add to what we have already learned.
