She can also write down what her cervical mucus looks like for several months, or she can purchase a home ovulation test kit that is available at drug stores or grocery stores. The time frame for these tests is a relatively long one but it is necessary for doctors to have a good picture of what your body is doing for several months. Blood tests and an ultrasound of the ovaries can also be used to check ovulation.

If ovulation is determined to be normal by your doctor, other test are available to find the root cause of why you are having difficulties getting pregnant.
