Blackberry phones are considered as some of the most sophisticated smartphones that are available today. Although the Blackberry phone brand has been on the market for some time, many people have been critical of the smartphone makerís speed to adapt to the market. For many years, the Blackberry smartphone experience revolved around the companyís QWERTY experience that was influenced by its emailing capabilities and the power to organize oneís life on the internet by using a Personal Digital Assistant. Many people today want to watch Blackberry videos and enjoy their digital media on their phones, while still having the solid features of email and connectivity. Blackberry has tried to cater for the touch screen phones market with the Blackberry Storm, although it did not do as well as it should have in its first generation. However, the second Storm proved to be a success over its predecessor, even if it was only minor.

This changed dramatically as digital media and the rise of social media came into play. For some time, Blackberry was on par with other smartphone manufacturers until that is, when the touch screen phone revolution began. This was the beginning of rapid change in the industry. Many people began to desire to have more digital media and telecommunication control over their lives, which had not been seen before in the market. It was only when Blackberry took the time to revamp their entire operating system to accommodate the many changes, which were introduced by many other touch screen and OS manufacturers that sales began to pick up. The Torch smart touch screen phone has been well received in the market and many people appreciate its large touch screen that is coupled with the legendary QWERTY keyboard, which many people have come to love.

While Blackberry is busy evolving and adding more touch phones to its range, there are some important changes that must be addressed for the Blackberry videos and their phone to keep up to speed in the touch screen market. While Blackberry 6 was an overhaul of the old Blackberry OS, there are still some improvements that can be made to optimize the OS for the touch screen. These include response time and the actual fluid nature of the OS, and there are sometimes lags in between applications and opening the OS.

There is potential for BlackBerry to grow in the years to come; it will just be a matter of innovation that will help the smartphone maker to become better and improve its product offerings as well as touch screen phones range.
