Enjoyable times spent are always memorable that are spent at fun places like amusement parks, carnivals or fairs with roller coasters. The unending loops, curves and heart stopping will make everyone scream. The roller coasters of today are higher, speedy and longer than ever before. To build a roller coaster today requires complete engineering and skills, physics and plenty of imagination.
Following are instructions for building a roller coaster which is simpler and much more fun.
Step One:
It has to be understood how roller coasters work. The real power needed can be obtained from an ordinary motor that is only for pulling it up to the first hill's top. The length of the track is the choice of the maker. In US, the longest is nearly a quarter of a mile but our will be considerably shorter. It is crucial to determine the height of the first hill so it should be done first. This height determines the speed of the roller coaster that will travel around the track. 262 feet is the best height for the first hill.
Step Two:
The second step is to figure out the slopes. The roller coaster relies on the power that is generated by the first hill for travelling the entire path. The best slope is the one which has a curve at the bottom with a flat path. Now the second slope or the exit path has to be determined. The coaster will maintain its speed by this slope after travelling down the first hill. Low slope is needed for the exit path for maintaining a safe exit out of hill number one.
Step Three:
Now the same procedure has to be followed with the calculations of the second hill. This is exactly as important the first hill as the second hill maintains the speed of the roller coaster giving a feeling of weightlessness to the riders. The ideal height of this hill is about 230 feet.
Step Four:
Addition of loop is the final step. This will give a more exciting ride to the riders in terms of speed, jerk feeling and pull of gravity. Either a perfect circle loop or an elliptical loop can be used, it is up to the choice of the maker or it must have a height of 115 feet.
All that is needed now is to fasten the tracks and cars to the frame, connect the power and now it is ready of an extreme ride with screams.
