The costs of consuming energy for your home and business can be high, not only financially but also for this little planet that we call as home. These days, there are solutions available with solar panel systems that offer the brightest of those answers. In recent decades, the emergence of green energy power systems that have given the world a reason to be optimistic about the planet’s future. Sunlight can be used to create heat and generate electrical power that is referred to as solar energy. It is a clean form of production of energy, which doesn't pollute the environment as some other forms of energy production. There are two forms of solar energy; the first is solar thermal conversion that uses sunlight to create heat and then electrical power. The second is photovoltaic conversion that uses sheets of special materials to create electricity from the sun. Photo means “light” and "voltaic" means that produces electricity.

Solar thermal conversion systems use mirrors or reflectors to concentrate sunlight to extremely intense levels of heat. Solar means "of the sun," thermal means "of heat" and similarly conversion means "changing something from one form to another." An advantage to solar power is that it reduces expenses and also it can be portable. When one is backpacking in the wilderness or traveling far from power grids then solar power can provide a means of powering electronic equipment

On the other hand, wind power refers to the transition of the energy present in natural wind to commercially useful electrical energy. Wind turbines are generally used to perform the conversion and currently meet approximately 1% of total worldwide electrical energy consumption.

The average industry growth of this particular renewable energy is 25% that spread over 5 years. This wind power involves no running fuel costs. Heavy expense is incurred only on initial construction and the estimated cost includes the total construction cost and the theoretical assumption of profitable service period. The capital cost is usually incorporated into billing cycle. Wind power generation capacity suffers from uncontrollable external factors and the flow of wind over a certain area may vary in time. This variation is applicable from day to day and hour to hour. Significant seasonal variations are also seen and this wind power energy generating equipment requires a high level of energy demand management and sophisticated storage solutions.
