Putting your Creative Instincts into Practice is Healthy Exercise


Becoming part of a team or group comes in naturally and usually begins at a very young age. As you are growing within a certain group, the option for expanding your creativity is provided. One healthy way, getting into a band can very much exercise many skills socially, musically, and creatively.


Getting into the habit of listening to different types of music shapes your own ideas on musical preference. Through a band, being able to share common interests with fellow musicians can be a healthy exchange of insights for you get to learn a lot from your experiences and from others as well.


1. Creative: Building and finding your voice as a band requires regular practice. Getting along with fellow band members can be a painful struggle for every band mate has their own opinions and ideas; but as your group progresses, each member matures together and somehow forms a certain identity as a team. This way, through your different artistic inclinations, you can exercise your creativity and use this skill to evolve as one group.



2. Social: During performances, preparing for your show can also be a fun marketing exercise for bands; you get to come up with different tactics on how to make yourselves known such as distributing print flyers to people within your community. Your own strategy in building your promotional tools through flyer printing is one very important factor in having a band, whether professional or not. The teamwork and joining of minds shows your determination to put something into success. Also, promotional strategies help make band members realize their purpose as entertainers like performing for a cause and for their audience instead of just their own gratification.


3. Skill: With daily practice, exchange of musical notes among band mates and execution styles are inevitable. This way, you get to learn other ways on how you enhance your skill in your musical output as an individual member as well as part of the group.


4. Intellectual: With approximately five heads working together to form a band, every member has their own shared learning on favorite artists. Through discussions between sets, you expand your knowledge through your discussions with fellow band mates who share common interests with you.



Being in a band does not require any age since music is universal; and allowing yourself to be free in the creative field can be fun and exciting when you are part of a band.
