You might be tempted to think, "Free stuff? What sort of a con is this? Nobody gives away anything for nothing in this world!" Would you be right? Well as usual it all depends on what you mean by "For nothing" Is that the same as "free"? The truth is there are lots of companies out there ready to give stuff away free. They don't want you to pay for it and there are no hidden charges to catch you unawares. So it costs you nothing but they're not doing it for nothing! They're doing it for a very good reason.
The reason companies give stuff away free is usually to promote their products. Because the internet's such a huge marketplace these days they do a lot of it there. There's nothing new about the idea of giving away free samples as a means of helping sales. Have you never been offered a free book by a very well known publishing giant in the hope that if you accept the freebie you'll continue to buy the series? You don't have to buy any books at all. You can tell them "No thanks" after you've received the free volume which is yours to keep. Lots of people do exactly that!
So take the offer of free stuff at face value wherever it's offered and enjoy it. Just be careful though that you don't sign up for more (that you will pay for) unless you really want to. Watch out too for any delivery charges etc that might make the offer a lot less attractive. If you keep those thoughts in mind you can't go wrong.
If you go to your favourite search engine and tap in "free stuff" you'll be amazed at the free offers you'll find there. There are loads of sites all offering an astonishing variety of free goods and services to tempt you. You'll find there's various ways of doing it. Some get you to enter competitions to win stuff and some of the prizes on offer can be quite breathtaking. The competitions are usually quite easy to enter although you'll often be asked to compose or complete a slogan of some kind. That takes practice so you'll probably need to enter quite a few before you win anything but hey it costs you nothing!
Other sites may ask you to take part in surveys by answering questionnaires on line and reward you with gifts or even points that add up to be redeemed as cash when you've accumulated enough. Obviously the information gathered in this way is useful to somebody so they're not doing it for nothing but then neither are you and it's not costing you anything so why not get stuck in and get your share of the free stuff being offered?
Have you ever heard the expression, "A sprat to catch a mackerel"? Well that's exactly the principle being applied here by these large companies. The theory is that they give you a little and you'll eventually buy a lot. It's that simple. It's a very old established method of marketing and there's nothing wrong with it. Trying someone's free sample doesn't put you under any obligation to buy their product. If you like it you might. If not, you won't, but at least you'll have tried it.
We live in a very competitive world and selling anything's getting harder all the time so getting hold of free stuff on the internet and elsewhere is getting easier all the time. It benefits you as well as the people making the offers. You'll feel good getting something for nothing, and we all like that don't we? So go on, fill your boots!
